Eisenhower Fellowships USA 2025 With Fully Funded Leadership Program
Applications are officially open for the 2025 program. This fall, Eisenhower Fellowships will bring together a diverse group of innovative U.S. leaders for a four-to-five-week hybrid experience, blending in-person and virtual learning opportunities.
Each year, the fellowship selects 10–12 mid-career professionals from the United States who are committed to addressing pressing issues and driving change. During the program, fellows connect with world leaders, domain experts, and peers while advancing their own projects. They also develop deep professional ties and form collaborations that extend well beyond the fellowship.
Upon completion, fellows become members of the distinguished Eisenhower Fellowships Global Network, which spans more than 2,500 leaders across 115 countries. The program is overseen by a board of trustees chaired by Dr. Robert M. Gates, former U.S. Secretary of Defense, alongside other influential figures from public service and business.
Eligibility for the Fellowship
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident living in the country at the time of application.
- The ideal age range is 32–45 years old at the start of the fellowship, though strong candidates slightly outside this range may be considered.
- Selected fellows must secure approval from their employers to take a leave of absence for the in-person portion of the fellowship. Only serious emergencies may excuse an absence.
- Dependents, spouses, or children cannot accompany fellows during the program. Travel for family members is not covered.
- Candidates who have participated in any fellowship program within the past two years are not eligible.
- Fellows cannot use the program for personal fundraising, business deals, or financial sponsorship.
- EF strictly prohibits the use of generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT) in application essays. Any applicant found using AI will be disqualified. All external sources must be cited properly.
